In the castle above the town, the Messner Mountain Museum RIPA shows how the world’s mountain peoples live.
For centuries Bruneck Castle was the seat of the Bishops of Brixen in the Puster Valley. Today it houses one of the Messner Mountain Museum sites.
The castle is a few minutes’ walk from the old town. Opening hours and admission change with the season – please check directly with the museum.
